The Hirsch Junior Super Chef competition is back on the road due to popular demand!
The competition, which is in its second year and is run in conjunction with the Defy brand, sees children between the ages of eight to thirteen vying for the title of Hirsch’s Junior Superchef in all the regions in which Hirsch operates and is due to kick off in Gauteng at their Centurion Branch on Tuesday May 31 and at the Silverlakes Branch on Thursday June 2.
Cook offs will also take place at Hirsch Boksburg (June 7) Hirsch Meadowdale (June 9) Hirsch Strubens (June 13) and Hirsch Fourways (June 15)
Ten junior superchefs will cook-it-off to choose the winners from each branch and they will come together for a grand “cook off” at the The finals will be held at Hirsch Fourways Branch on June 17. Prizes include Defy’s Microwave Air Fryer, Juicer, Stick Blender and Pressure Cooker, a Snappy Chef knife set and a Zwilling pot set.
Commenting on the reason behind holding the competition on a regular basis, CEO of the Hirsch Group, Allan Hirsch said “We have been delighted to get involved with co-ordinating this competition because we’ve noticed a lot of interest from children with regards to the cooking appliances that Hirsch stocks. We want to assist with the encouragement of young chefs and have been blown away with their ability to demonstrate the use of recently launched products in front of an audience.”
